How do you check lawyers?
Every practising certificate is checked with the New Zealand Law Society or the relevant Australian regulator before listing. Lawmateanz is an independent directory, not the official Register.

We charge a flat monthly fee, never a share of any fee, settlement or award. Your conduct rules (e.g. Rule 12.4 of the Australian Solicitors' Conduct Rules, or the NZ equivalent) may require you to tell clients about this.
