Free and low-cost help

New Zealand: In New Zealand, Consumer Protection (part of MBIE) has free information on your rights, and smaller claims can go to the Disputes Tribunal. If cost is a concern, Community Law Centres offer free legal help throughout New Zealand, and you may be eligible for Legal Aid through the Ministry of Justice.

Australia: In Australia, your state or territory fair trading agency has free information and may help resolve complaints, and the ACCC enforces the Australian Consumer Law. If cost is a concern, community legal centres and your state or territory Legal Aid commission may be able to help.
