Free and low-cost help

New Zealand: New Zealand has no franchise-specific legislation, so the terms of the franchise agreement itself matter even more. If cost is a concern, Community Law Centres offer free legal help throughout New Zealand, and you may be eligible for Legal Aid through the Ministry of Justice.

Australia: In Australia, franchising is regulated by the Franchising Code, and the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman can help with franchise disputes. If cost is a concern, community legal centres and your state or territory Legal Aid commission may be able to help.
